Block Party on Bonnie Brae

Because all of the area directly surrounding MacArthur Park was closed, the vast majority of traffic was forced to be redirected to Bonnie Brae. I ran around the corner there when I was running from the LAPD and the stark contrast of this bizarre, impromptu block party struck me. Everyone was hanging out of windows, blasting music, sitting on their balconies, and chearing one another on. Such a surreal juxtaposition to what was going on around the corner.
